S.G. Vasudev

S. G. Vasudev, a distinguished artist from Karnataka, is renowned for his association with Cholamandal Artists' Village and his extensive global exhibitions. A graduate of the Government College of Fine Arts, Chennai, he was deeply influenced by his teacher K.C.S. Panikar. Vasudev's versatile career spans various media, with themes seamlessly transitioning between them, resulting in captivating artworks. Notable series like Vriksha, Maithuna, Hayavandana, and Ganesha exemplify his artistic depth and consistency. He has received numerous awards, including the National Award in 1967, solidifying his place in the art world.
