In his new bronze sculptures the children that inhabited his collages appear to step out from the canvas into a different dimension altogether in a fascinating manner. The form is familiar but the medium is so starkly different with the solidity and the heaviness of bronze, but maintains the lyrical quality that pervades his fragile collages. The absence of myriad hues of vibrant colors so typical of his artistic world is stark. It is a different aesthetic experience as you are tempted to reach out and touch the contours of the fullness of the form sculpted so elegantly in bronze.
